Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Biblical and Early Christian Studies (teaching and research), which is tenable from 1st September 2025.

You will be key to the delivery of the Religions, Theology and Ethics programme and should be committed to research and teaching in the areas of Bible and Early Christianity. You must have a PhD in a relevant field of specialisation and demonstrable teaching experience at university level. Your research may focus on any aspect or period of your specialisation. Only applicants with the ability to teach one or both biblical languages and with high quality publications will be considered. The following would be desirable: record of grant capture and expertise that will help develop research in, and broader access to, resources in the John Rylands Research Institute and Library. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to engage well with students.
