About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HE professional to lead the University Student Complaints, Conduct and Funding (CCF) service area.
As a Head of Service within the Division for the Student Experience you will be an active member of the Student Experience Leadership Group working closely with the Director of Student Support and Wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a commitment to customer excellence and good knowledge of the relevant legislation in this area, making them equipped to take on the responsibility for overseeing the operation and delivery of key student support services including:
Your highly developed written communications skills will ensure you can be successful in the development and drafting of regulations, guidance and reports that are a key element the role. Working colleagues across the university you will be responsible for ensuring the policies and procedures in place are fit for purpose, and compliant with regulatory bodies such as the OfS, OIAHE and US Government.
About you
You will be educated to degree level or have a substantial amount of relevant experience at an equivalent level.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of current legislation and policy relevant to the areas of work covered by the CCF teams, including student funding mechanisms.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in managing complex processes and the ability to prioritize and make decisions whilst working under pressure and at pace.
The role demands excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and a strong team-work ethic, so you will bring excellent leadership skills to the role, with the ability to contribute positively as a team member and foster teamwork in others.
