We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person to deliver high-quality administrative support to one of our Executive team.
About the role
The Bodleian Libraries is the library service supporting the University of Oxford and is the largest academic library service in the UK and one of the largest library services in Europe. The Bodleian Libraries are also a key part of Oxford’s cultural community and lead an exciting programme of public exhibitions and events to engage communities with our collections.

You will act as the first point of contact and effectively deal with all incoming correspondence, emails and telephone calls for your Executive Member. Your role will be extremely varied from diary management and administrative support for meetings and projects to collating information and documentation for reports. From time to time, there will be the opportunity to support high-profile events such as exhibition launches.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 36.5 hours per week. The role supports home working one day a week on average. To learn more about the role, please contact Georgia Binning (georgia.binning@bodleian.ox.ac.uk) directly.
About you
You will be a diligent senior administrator, with exceptional organisational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. You will be confident in multi-tasking and prioritising a varied and busy workload, being able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have excellent interpersonal and office IT skills and a high standard of literacy and numeracy.
Only applications received online before midday (BST) on Monday 28 April 2025 can be considered. You will be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement (or a supporting evidence form using the template provided) as part of your online application.
