Thanks to a generous benefaction from the late Sultan of Oman, Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (UK), seeks to appoint a Sultan Qaboos Early-Career Research Fellow/College Lecturer in Computer Sciences from September 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter). This year applications are invited from outstanding researchers in Computer Science only. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be a scholar in the early stages of their career for whom a short-term post would prove to be an attractive opportunity to enhance their research and academic profile.
The appointment will be for a fixed term of four years (from 1 September 2025 to 31 July 2029). A pensionable stipend will be determined from the University General Stipend and salary scales. The stipend for the post is based on point 44 (£40,497pa as of 1 March 2025).
Early-Career Research Fellows are normally expected to be resident in Cambridge for the term of their Fellowship, are full members of the College’s Governing Body and are expected to participate in the intellectual life of Leckhampton (the College's second site where most of its postgraduates are housed).
As a College Lecturer, the teaching requirement will be up to six hours per week during Full Term, normally comprised of small-group supervisions for the undergraduates of Corpus Christi College or, by exchange arrangements, of other Colleges.
Application deadline: noon on Wednesday 21 May 2025.
Applications should be submitted to the CASC Fellowship Application System (FAS) via the ‘Apply’ button above.
Informal enquiries should be addressed to the Senior Tutor, Dr Marina Frasca-Spada, by email to mfs10@cam.ac.uk.
