The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Health and Safety Officer to join our University Health and Safety team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we play a key role in supporting the University deliver on its ambitious strategy over the next 5 years.
This role is ideal for someone who has a keen interest in Health and Safety, thrives on delivering excellence, has pride in their ability to multitask. The successful candidate will provide health and Safety advice and support across the University and will collaborate with colleagues across both academic and support functions , as such the ability to understand and interpret varying needs is crucial’.
Key responsibilities will include: supporting academic and professional service colleagues in relation to risk management; managing the University DSE programme; delivering H+S related training; and overseeing our contractor management. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in delivering H+S related training in an easy to follow manner, providing legal and compliance advice to non H+S staff and a track record in working collaboratively with stakeholder staff and services.
We are London’s Campus University, based on a beautiful 54-acre parkland campus close to the River Thames with excellent transport links and a short walk to Barnes train station (8 minutes to Clapham Junction, 20 minutes to Central London).
