We have an exciting opportunity for Academic Engagement Coach to join the Student Support and Success Directorate to work at the heart of our work to support students to reach their full potential in their academic studies. We are looking for a driven, innovative, self-aware person who is passionate about making a positive difference through a proactive approach to academic support, to enable their students successfully continue, progress and complete their studies.
The Student Engagement Project Officer plays a key role in fostering student voice and engagement by supporting the creation and delivery of student-led initiatives. This role enhances the student experience by placing students at the heart of our work, aligning with the Education Enabling Strategy, and addressing Office for Students (OfS) targets in the Access and Participation Plan. The postholder will also contribute to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives, working across the university to remove barriers for underrepresented groups and ensuring students can fully benefit from their university experience.
The post holder will support academics, professional services staff, and students in collaboratively developing and delivering impactful and innovative projects that work towards our Access and Participation Plan and Student Outcomes targets. The key initiatives include; Peer Mentoring Programmes, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion projects, student inductions, student leadership programmes, student voice and student support campaigns.
The post holder will have experience in leading and managing large scale student engagement projects that support continuation, completion, and progression priorities, while addressing targets in the Access and Participation Plan and EDI Strategy. The successful candidate will also have experience in working closely with students to plan and deliver student-led, data-driven projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
