Are you keen to influence the future of mental health nursing – to be the best that it can be? Are you an NMC registered Mental Health Nurse with postgraduate skills? Do you have a passion for teaching, learning and student support?
The Department is seeking to recruit a Lecturer-0.5 FTE Mental Health Nursing to work within the Mental Health nursing programmes focusing on delivery of key modules including in simulated learning and advanced communication skills for nursing.
Applicants should have an interest and some nursing practice experience in psychological approaches in mental health including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) plus knowledge of trauma-informed practice. The successful candidate will be required to deliver teaching and learning support to a wide and diverse group of students both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate. You are therefore required to disclose details of any criminal record. ALL criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, even if they would otherwise be regarded as spent under this Act must be disclosed, as well as any other information that may have a bearing on your suitability for the post, including pending prosecutions.
The University will apply for a DBS certificate before your appointment is confirmed.
