Your normal place of work will be our Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester. However, you may be required to work or be based at any premises the University occupies and may be required to work at any University site or any other reasonable location where the University is undertaking its business.
This role will require flexibility around early morning and evening work as well as weekend availability when required. The university does have an agile working policy which can be discussed within the recruitment process.
About the department
The Marketing and External Engagement and Stakeholder Engagement (MSE) directorate is responsible for a range of University-wide services. It has strategic and operational responsibility for key University functions and processes. Although not exhaustive this includes: the development and production of marketing materials and corporate public relations; alumni relations; recruitment initiatives and outreach/widening participation activity; a range of externally focussed projects and sponsorship arrangements; market intelligence, social media, communication and PR.
About the role
The Corporate Events Manager will lead a team to successfully deliver a programme of corporate and commercial events working with stakeholders from across the public and private sector community on a regional and national basis.
Focussing activity on building engagement and connections for the institution, this role will deliver against short term funded programme objectives whilst building out a series of solutions that increase our reach into target sectors aligned to our growth strategy.
This role will have budget responsibility and be proficient in reporting impact, engagement and cost effectiveness at all times, providing a clear strategy aligned to the institutions goals.
