About the role:

As Welfare Assistant you will be joining a small team responsible for delivering vital pastoral services within the undergraduate School of Medicine. Supporting over 2500 students, you will play a key role in supporting, and improving, the student experience. You’ll be based in the Faculty Education Office where we coordinate the student journey from admission to graduation, providing first-line services to students, supporting strategy and policy development, financial management, communications, governance and quality.

What you would be doing:

You will be responsible for supporting the Welfare team to provide wellbeing support and guidance to undergraduate students and staff within the School of Medicine. The principal responsibility for the welfare assistant role will be managing the team’s shared mailbox to efficiently respond to all queries, signposting to appropriate support services (both internal and external) and escalating to senior colleagues where required.

Further Information

The role is based at South Kensington Campus with occasional travel to other campuses as required. 

Please note this role is a fixed term contract for 12 months, commencing from end of May 2025. There is a possibility of secondment for internal candidates.
