We are inviting applicants passionate about in fungal-based bioenergy to join our new Magan Centre of Applied Mycology (MCAM)
As part of the creation of the new centre, we are growing our team and are recruiting outstanding research talent to support research in 6 core areas of our research and teaching within our Environment and Agrifood subject areas.
About the Role
This position supports academic colleagues within the Magan Centre of Applied Mycology (MCAM) who are actively securing and delivering projects in the field of Fungal-based Bioenergy. You will assume responsibility for a defined set of tasks within ongoing research initiatives funded through various sources. While the role may involve a combination of research and teaching, it will also require effective organisation, management, and coordination of activities.
About You
Talented researchers passionate about Fungal-based Bioenergy with a relevant PhD (or near completion) or significant experience in biofuels (bioethanol, biodiesel, biomethane, biohydrogen) are encouraged to apply.
Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines while maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong track record of achievements, including publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals, relevant to your research area and career stage.
Success in this role requires adaptability, flexibility, and openness to change. You should excel at collaboration, influence, and relationship-building, with a keen interest in contributing fully to the dynamic MCAM project.
