The School of Biological Sciences at UEA is a vibrant community committed to delivering excellent teaching that results in the highest levels of student satisfaction. We have an opportunity for a talented Lecturer to deliver inspired undergraduate teaching in the fields of ecology and biodiversity. 

As well as lecturing and leading seminars and practical classes, you will prepare new teaching material, organise taught modules, encourage excellent admissions to the School through participation in recruitment events and outreach activities, and contribute significantly to student pastoral support.     

You should have a PhD in a related field (equivalent experience or qualification), you will have expertise in delivering innovative research-led teaching, a dynamic teaching vision, and an enthusiasm for working with students and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification. 

This full-time post is available on a fixed term basis until 31 May 2026 to cover for the absence of the postholder on maternity leave. 

As part of the application, applicants are asked to include a 5-minute video of themselves giving a lecture suitable for Level 4 students with the title: "The evidence for evolution". The talk should concentrate on one type of evidence. Details on how to submit your video can be found in the Job Description.
