Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions: Recruitment, Conversion and Fair Access (Scotland), the post holder will be required to undertake a variety of outreach, recruitment, admissions, and conversion activities. This post holder will have a specific focus on Part Time evening degree activities as well as the Supported Pathways programmes and Teacher engagement.
The post holder should be sensitive and interested in widening participation across schools and colleges. The post holder should have a good understanding of current government strategic objectives in relation to Widening Access to Higher Education and be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from across the sector including applicants, academic colleagues, school and college staff, parents and care providers and community learning partners. The post holder will have an active role in application reading, general recruitment responsibilities throughout Scotland and the UK. The post holder will also act as Regional Lead of a designated area of Scotland for Recruitment and Conversion activity.
The post holder will be able to work independently, and have a proactive approach to working practices, actively seeking new opportunities for development and improvements to workload and have a student-centred approach.
