About the role
The Research Associate position in Biostatistics presents an exciting opportunity for a researcher with a strong statistical background and an interest in public health to develop hierarchical statistical models within the field of environmental epidemiology. It is supported by two projects: the Health Data Research UK Social and Environmental Determinants of Health Driver Programme (link) and the MRC-funded programme ‘Public Health Impacts of the UK's Clean Air Zones (PHICAZ).
What you would be doing
You will join the Imperial College HDR UK and PHICAZ research teams and become a member of the UK Small Area Health Statistics Unit (SAHSU) (www.sahsu.org.uk).
Within the PHICAZ project, you will play a key role in developing a statistical model to provide robust, evidence-based evaluations of clean air policies in London before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the HDR UK project, the focus will be on applying statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse the impact of social, environmental, and household factors on population health by integrating administrative data from various sources.
