SPSPA is comprised of around 150 members of academic staff, six distinct academic disciplines and eight interdisciplinary research centres, and teaches over 2,000 students across over 50 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are a vibrant, friendly, and international community of scholars committed to maintaining a superb working environment to support our excellent research and teaching.
The role
International Relations thrives at Exeter – in terms of both research and teaching – within the intellectually pluralistic environment of SPSPA. The department is home to the Centre of Advanced International Studies, a research centre with over twenty core members working on numerous cutting-edge projects in IR. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Education & Research) in International Relations. The successful candidate will have a creative and ambitious research agenda, will contribute to teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and will enhance the profile of our Centre for Advanced International Studies. Though the thematic, theoretical, and methodological specialisations for the position are open, we would be particularly interested in candidates with expertise in foreign policy and diplomacy.
