Are you a Communications and Marketing Manager who feels strongly about educational opportunity and widening access to higher education? Join our highly motivated and innovative Information, Marketing and Communications team within the Undergraduate and Outreach (UAO) department at the University of Oxford and use your expertise to help us empower and inspire talented potential applicants from all backgrounds.

Contract: Part Time (33.75 hours per week: 0.9FTE), Permanent

About the Role 

This varied and influential role offers both creative opportunities and managerial development for someone who has strong expertise in marketing and communications and who would enjoy overseeing the day to day running of the dedicated communications team within UAO. Collaborating closely with other teams and the University’s Public Affairs Directorate, you will have responsibility for the creative development and delivery of communications and marketing objectives via channels designed to engage and support target groups. You will also contribute to wider strategic planning and work closely with UAO’s Admissions Operations and Policy teams in order to communicate changes in admissions policy and help advise on their external impact.

About You 

The post would suit an experienced and inspiring communicator with a strong educational background and/or professional qualifications who is capable of influencing and informing specific audiences via a variety of media. You will understand the creative process and be motivated by efficiency and rigour. You will be someone who is interested in refining and improving processes; who is keen to develop your management skills and who would enjoy deputising for the head of the team. You should be adaptable, resilient and able to motivate colleagues, both within your own team and your wider working community.
