This is a full-time post available from 1st July 2025 on a fixed-term basis until 1st December 2026.

This is a hybrid role, with flexibility about working hours and location. Some travel to schools may be required.
The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the UKRI funded project ‘Adventurous play as a route to decreasing children’s risk for anxiety’. This project, led by Professor Helen Dodd includes a school-based feasibility randomised controlled trial, a case series evaluation of a novel intervention for anxious parents and a national survey of children’s play. The research team has a strong reputation for research focused on play and mental health and are focused on delivering innovative, impactful research in this research field.
About you
The successful applicant will be able to develop research objectives, projects and proposals; identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events.
