London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Admissions officer on a Maternity Cover contract, starting in June 2025, within our Marketing, Recruitment, and Communications team.

As the Admissions Officer you will be responsible for your own portfolio of programmes, ensuring consistent assessment of applications submitted. You will provide a high level of customer service to applicants, make decisions on applications, short-list applicants for interview, implement the pre-CAS process for International students and work closely with key stakeholders including Admissions Tutors. Working efficiently and flexibly, the role plays a key part in the delivery of an excellent applicant experience and assisting the University to meet its student number targets by admitting suitably qualified applicants.

About You:

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of working in a higher education institution, preferably including experience of the main clearing houses or University administration.
  • Ability to understand, explain and apply complex procedures and regulations.
  • Experience of solving problems, effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience of working in a high-volume processing environment using complex databases.
  • A commitment to professionalism, collaborative working and the delivery of high service and client satisfaction levels, both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated or the equivalent work experience, be highly motivated with attention to details and has an excellent organisation skill to deliver a professional, fair, and efficient applicant experience to UK and International applicants, whilst providing the academic schools with advice on process and acting as the institutional repository for qualifications expertise.
