The role
The Psychology Department at the University of Exeter seeks to appoint an outstanding Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in clinical and/or applied psychology to join our team of exceptional scientists and educators to conduct world-leading research aimed at tackling the big challenges facing the mental health and wellbeing in society and educate the next generation of psychologists. The successful candidate will join our active, large, diverse clinical psychology research group (http://psychology.exeter.ac.uk/research/groups/clinical/).

We welcome applications from any area of clinical and applied psychology, but we are particularly interested in recruiting individuals who conduct research relevant to the wider university strategy (see https://www.exeter.ac.uk/about/strategy2030/) and who can contribute to our new MSc Clinical Psychology. We would also welcome applications from people who bring new methods expertise to our existing research themes and groups (see http://psychology.exeter.ac.uk/research/ and https://psychology.exeter.ac.uk/research/groups/clinical/). We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are clinically qualified (e.g., clinical/counselling psychologists/therapists). Our existing clinically-qualified staff benefit from strong links with local National Health Service (NHS) Trusts and our in-house NHS-funded research clinic (AccEPT Service: https://www.exeter.ac.uk/departments/mooddisorders/acceptclinic/), as well as a large and thriving professional psychology training community (https://cedar.exeter.ac.uk/Clinical training (Doctoral and MCAPS) | Psychology | University of Exeter).

Successful candidates will also help us to deliver an inclusive and innovative education to our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

At the Psychology Department at University of Exeter, we offer a supportive community where all colleagues can thrive and are treated with dignity and respect. The people we are seeking to recruit will demonstrate how they will enable us to maintain and develop this mission.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button) for full details of this role.
