The Circular Economy at UWE Bristol is central to how we view our assets and resources; from engaging suppliers through the procurement process, to ensuring these are kept in use at the University for as long as possible, to how we manage resources onwards once they are no longer required. This role encompasses the strategic development of institution wide processes, through to delivery of practical solutions and projects, working with both internal and external partners.
This role sits within the award-winning Sustainability Team at UWE Bristol, but has the scope and remit to work across the entire institution, for example supporting academics and students with living lab opportunities, working with external partners and third sector organisations, as well as suppliers and contractors.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for the circular economy and the ability to deliver new ways of working within a large and complex organisation. You will have effective communication skills, the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, and be able to demonstrate the leadership required to support both the team and UWE Bristol to take on the challenges of a Circular Economy.
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.
We offer a wide range of employee benefits including progressive pay rates, generous annual leave and career average pension schemes as well as retail savings, onsite nursery and opportunities for training and personal development.
We are proud to be part of a vibrant, multicultural city that celebrates diversity, we’re always looking for talented people from all backgrounds to join us.
We particularly encourage applications from global majority and female candidates as we are currently under-represented in this area of the organisation, however all appointments are made strictly on individual merit.
As a Disability Confident employer, we welcome applications from those who identify as having a disability.
