The role

An exciting opportunity to join the Laboratory Technician team as the Senior Laboratory Manager in the new Life and Mind Building (LaMB), Biology Department, is available immediately. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Administration you will manage the day-to-day laboratory coordination for the building, ensuring effective delivery of research while maintaining laboratory space and assets. The role involves laboratory coordination, health and safety, equipment and asset management as well as team management.

About you

You will have experience managing a technical environment or team and have proven problem solving and leadership skills. You will have an in-depth knowledge of health and safety requirements within a technical environment with experience writing Risk Assessments and SOPs. You will have the ability to perform, demonstrate and teach the safe use of equipment.
