Job Description
Join Bath Spa University London (BSUL) as an Interim University Centre Deputy Director and play a key role in shaping the future of our growing centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader with strong operational expertise to enhance the student experience and drive data-informed improvements.
About the Role
This role is central to the strategic and operational development of Bath Spa University London. You will lead initiatives to improve student outcomes, well-being, and inclusivity, ensuring our policies and processes align with Bath Spa University’s overarching objectives. A significant part of the role involves using data to inform decision-making, measuring performance, and implementing evidence-based strategies to enhance the student experience.
You will oversee the operational management of the BSUL facility, ensuring it remains a safe, functional, and inclusive space. This includes working closely with teams across the university to support student services, academic delivery, and policy development. You will also represent BSUL in internal and external networks, ensuring our students’ voices are heard and championed.
As a leader, you will manage and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will develop and deliver training to enhance collaboration and ensure best practices across teams. In addition, you will play a key role in crisis management, working alongside welfare teams to safeguard student well-being.
About You
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a strong background in operational management and student support. You should have experience leading on data-driven initiatives, using insights to inform policies and improve outcomes. A track record of working in a student-focused environment is essential, along with the ability to manage teams, deliver training, and drive positive change.
Strong communication skills are vital, as you will be presenting findings, writing reports, and working closely with senior leaders. The ability to build relationships across departments and institutions is key, as is a commitment to inclusivity and student success. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and experience supporting diverse student groups would be an advantage. Previous experience managing complex projects would also be very helpful in this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to make a meaningful impact on the student experience at Bath Spa University London.
