The post holder will also lead on subject knowledge and pedagogy teaching, particularly in the area of biology but may also contribute to the teaching of Bath Spa Teachers from other disciplines where appropriate. Other responsibilities include contributing to our core curriculum, exploring a range of whole school issues pertinent to teacher trainees. The post holder will be fully supported by the Programme Director, who manage the operation of the wider Secondary PGCE programme.
The role includes moderation visits to schools during school training, involving an element of quality assurance of training mentors. The post holder will be responsible for providing academic and pastoral support for Bath Spa Teachers, guiding them to become excellent teachers.
