Are you interested in a placement at a world top 100 university, working with some of the biggest names in Engineering? A year long placement is a great opportunity for students to increase their employability through hands-on experience.
We have an exciting opportunity in the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre’s Integrated Manufacturing Group for someone with a passion for engineering who is looking to use their skills in manufacturing to make an impact on UK productivity. You will deal directly with some of the most advanced technologies and companies in the world, such as Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and BAE Systems, as well as diverse industries beyond aerospace.
As an Assistant Project Engineer, you will work alongside Project Engineers, Technical Leads, on a diverse range of projects.
For this role, you will need to have a passion for one or more of the Integrated Manufacturing Group’s core capabilities, which include IIoT, machine learning and AI, automation, mechanical design, data science, HMI technology (including AR/VR), connectivity (including cybersecurity), and process simulation. You will need to be studying for a relevant degree and will ideally understand the application of these technologies in a manufacturing environment.
