We are looking for a Principal Educational Developer (New Programmes Project) to join our Education Services.
This is an exciting time to join LSHTM as we bring our Vision and Strategy 2022 – 27 to life and our ambition to expand and enhance our education provision. The role-holder will play a significant role in driving forward a new and innovative model of flexible, in-person and distance learning education. The role offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge of curriculum design to shape education provision at LSHTM, working in partnership with subject experts based in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy (PHP) and Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH).
Your primary focus will be working closely with academics through workshops, one-to-one support and feedback on programme documentation to support the design of modules and learning outcomes, learning and teaching strategies, impactful pedagogic approaches, and assessment design. You will ensure that educational design activities are informed by sector-wide best practice and result in a high-quality, flexible and inclusive learning experience.
You will need a postgraduate qualification in learning and teaching, and Fellow of the HEA or equivalent professional recognition along with postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or equivalent. You will have extensive experience of leading academic teams to innovate curriculum and assessment design, ideally in a public health or STEM context and knowledge of approaches to curriculum design and delivery in in-person and online settings. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and fixed-term for 18 months.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 7 in the range £52,199 - £59,623 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
