The role

The School of Engineering and Built Environment is based in the College of Business, Technology and Engineering and encompasses a range of subject areas including Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, and Construction Project Management.

We are recruiting for an Academic Tutor to join our existing team and welcome applications from candidates with knowledge of:

  • Sustainability issues
  • Digital Construction and BIM
  • Building Economics
  • Construction Technology
  • Legal issues/ Contract Law
  • Project Planning
  • Health & Safety
  • Degree Apprenticeships
  • Work Based Learning

Applicants should ideally have an awareness of the current trends, issues, and developments in construction and surveying both nationally and internationally.

You do not need previous experience of teaching, as this is a great opportunity for an applicant with practical experience and a desire to inspire the next generation of Quantity Surveyors, Building Surveyors &/or Construction Project Managers to embark on a career in academia.
