Trinity College Dublin, School of Medicine, invites applications for the post of Professor of Haematology (Blood Cancers). This post represents an outstanding scientific career development opportunity for an enthusiastic principal investigator. The postholder must have an established record of attracting funding for internationally competitive research, which will complement the current programme in Blood Cancer and Cell Therapy within the Discipline of Haematology, School of Medicine, and College Strategic Plan. Candidates should have an internationally proven track record of research, the ability to engage effectively in academic administration, and contribute to ongoing programme development.
The post involves clinical responsibilities as a Consultant in Haematology (Blood Cancers) in St James’s Hospital. The post holder will join the Blood Cancer team with an expectation of developing and delivering an excellent, collegial clinical service in their chosen blood cancer sub-specialty. They will be expected to play a key role in the development of clinical services and to liaise between service providers and the University to integrate the needs of the clinical services with the clinical experience needed by colleagues and students.
