Professor of German (1776)

Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, invites applications for the position of Professor of German (1776). With this appointment, the University reaffirms its commitment to the role of languages in the humanities and to the central role of the humanities in achieving the academic and societal goals of a 21st-century university.

Post Status: Permanent Contract

Salary: Appointment will be made on the 101B Professorial salary scale, in line with Government Pay Policy, ranging from €140,067 to €177,060 per annum.

• A comprehensive curriculum vitae, including a full list of publications, research funding, and leadership activities.

• A research plan (summarising research to be carried out over the next five years, including details of funding to be sought—no more than two pages).
• A teaching statement (summarising teaching experience and approach—no more than two pages).
• An outline of the candidate’s vision for the Professor of German at Trinity College Dublin, including how this will be realised in the short, medium, and long term (no more than three pages).
