The School of Linguistic, Speech and Communications Sciences seeks to appoint a full-time Assistant Professor in Applied Sign Linguistics. The successful candidate will ideally hold a PhD, and will carry out teaching and research on aspects of the linguistics/applied linguistics of sign languages/sign language interpreting/ sign language teaching and learning. The post holder will also be responsible for administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Discipline, in line with the workload model of the School.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Full Salary Scale (€42,500 - €101,541 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)

The teaching philosophy video should:
Demonstrate understanding of the teaching and learning process. The applicant should give examples of involvement in teaching and what the applicant learned from the process.
Illustrate, through past example, their ability to work on their own initiative and resolve problems.
