This new full time post is available from June 2025 until June 2028 on a fixed term basis. Subject to further approval, there is the expectation that this role will be extended until 31 March 2029.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

The above full-time post is available from June 2025 on an fixed term basis in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (Psychology / Mood Disorders Centre), based at the Streatham campus.

This post is part of a wider research team delivering the Wellcome Trust funded “Understanding the mechanisms driving the reduction of repetitive negative thought” project. This large-scale flagship research project seeks to understand the active ingredients of cognitive-behavioural therapies that reduce worry and rumination, to optimise transdiagnostic interventions to prevent and treat common mental health disorders.

We are looking for enthusiastic staff who can contribute to the Calming Minds Project and provide blended structured CBT interventions for individuals with elevated worry and rumination. We are seeking qualified and IAPT-experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to act as trial psychological wellbeing practitioners for a large-scale clinical trial targeting worry and rumination.

You will be a skilled practitioner who has a thoughtful and adaptable approach to your work, as well as a real interest in managing complex difficulties and sensitively supporting participants. A DBS check will need to be completed.
