The University of Exeter runs the College for Doctoral Training in Environmental Intelligence: Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Sustainable Futures.  Environmental Intelligence represents the use of Data Science & AI to create transformational science and tools to enable informed decision making across a range of sectors related to the environment, including climate, water, energy, finance and insurance, infrastructure and health.  The rapidly growing availability of data from multiple, inter-related sources, provides the opportunity for a step-change in our ability to find solutions to important challenges related to our interaction with the natural environment.  The CDT offers an inter-disciplinary training environment for over 50 PhD students, over 6 cohorts.  Students are equipped with the skills to become leaders in Environmental Intelligence, and with career prospects across academia and the public and private sectors.

We are looking for a Centre Administrator to provide a customer focussed administrative and support service, to staff, student and external contacts. The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively liaise with the Centre Directors, Centre Management Group, the group of CDT supervisors, the PhD students and the wider academic and professional services teams involved in delivery of the CDT.  The post holder must have excellent attention to detail and be able to plan, prioritise and work efficiently on a varied workload.  The position is central to the running of the CDT which is led by the Centre Manager and Center Director.
