We have an exciting opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiographer to join the Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise as a Lecturer. You will deliver an inspirational learning experience to our undergraduate learners as our new BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography provision commences in September 2025.
The Department currently offers a wide range of excellent educational provisions across eight allied health professions, midwifery, public health and sport. It’s home to a large number of apprenticeships, pre-registration and post-graduate courses.
The University of Huddersfield is a thriving university, and our excellent facilities are continuing to expand with state-of-the art teaching, research and clinical facilities on the National Health Innovation Campus.
We have a diverse student body and work closely with our public partnership group, health and social care, and education partners.
This role is open to Diagnostic Radiographers who are interested in educating the future workforce. You will work with experienced academic and professional services colleagues to develop and facilitate learners’ knowledge, skills and professional attributes on a course that is contemporary, future-looking and enables graduates to meet the challenges of service users and service needs, in both hospital and community settings. Commitment to an innovative student-centred learning experience is essential.
You will be currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Diagnostic Radiographer. With a Master's degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent), you will be a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (or be willing to work towards this within 12 months of appointment).
The post requires experience of teaching diagnostic radiography within a clinical or higher education setting. Bringing subject and practice expertise in contemporary practice, we would particularly welcome applications from Diagnostic Radiographers with experience in projectional radiography, fluoroscopy, and/or CT.
This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Regular status checks may also be required, depending on your role.
