About the Role
For informal queries, please email Yulia Timofeeva (Professor and Head of Department) at y.timofeeva@warwick.ac.uk or Long Tran-Thanh (Professor and Deputy Head of Department) at long.tran-thanh@warwick.ac.uk.
The Department of Computer Science is seeking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic and supportive team, contributing significantly to our research and teaching activities.
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s most successful Computer Science departments and be part of an exciting time of growth in the Department. We are looking for outstanding candidates, particularly in the following areas within the Computer Science discipline:
Assistant Professors will be appointed for a probation period (usually five years). Successful completion of probation will coincide with promotion to Associate Professor. The department provides opportunities for advancement up to and including Professor level.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
You will hold a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or a related subject by the start date of the post.
You will have an excellent academic record, with indicators such as impactful publications in peer-reviewed venues, significant software artefact design and implementation, and academic awards within the field of Computer Science.
You will have a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Applications will be considered based on their merits, for both Assistant and Associate Professor roles.
The Department is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion among staff and students.
We strongly believe that diversity enriches research, teaching, and innovation.
We particularly encourage applications from female candidates and other underrepresented groups.
We are open to considering applications for part-time or other flexible working arrangements.
We offer mentoring schemes and family support to ensure all colleagues can thrive in our community
