Post Status: Specific Purpose Contract

The specific purpose of this role is to provide teaching cover for the Department during a period where it will be recruiting a permanent Assistant Professor position.

Reports to: Head of Discipline and Head of School

Salary: Salary: This appointment will be made on the Teaching Fellow Merged Salary Scale (€42,500 – 54,139 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.

Post Summary

Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, invites applications for a Teaching Fellow position (full-time) to contribute to teaching in Sociology at the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy. The successful candidate will teach at both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including both module and tutorial teaching, in the core substantive themes of the department such as social inequality, comparative social change, gender, identity, race, ethnicity, conflict and migration.

Context

As a part of the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, the Department of Sociology is looking for candidates who are passionate about teaching and have a vision for innovative module design and teaching methods. We value individuals who demonstrate a genuine dedication to both research and teaching, with a proven track record of effective teaching and the potential for further accomplishments in research.
