This is a fixed term maternity cover(for 12 months) within the Student Engagement Team.
Are you passionate about organising exciting and engaging event for students? We are looking for a motivated Student Communities Coordinator to join our team on a maternity cover basis. You will play a key part in building and nurturing an inclusive, and engaging student community. You’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by creating a positive and welcoming environment for all students.
In this role you will you will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a variety of events that support students with their transition into and throughout University such as welcome Welcome, University Mental Health Day, Pancake day as well events to support students living in halls. You will also be responsible for supporting our diverse student community through the management of the University Faith & Reflection Centre providing a safe space for student of all faith or no faith to come together.
You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Be confident in managing multiple priorities, and building strong relationships across the university and hold the the ability to work with a diverse groups of people. We are looking for someone who is creative and enthusiastic with a passion for delivering engaging events that support building a sense of belonging and community.
Proven experience in an event coordination role is essential with experience in stakeholder engagement and customer service being highly desirable.
Candidates should be prepared to work socials evening and weekend to support events and activities.
