About the role
The Postdoctoral Research Associate (MSKI-PREVENT) will coordinate a team of doctoral students and research assistants to deliver a comprehensive and high quality research programme related to musculoskeletal injury prevention in British Army trainees.
The successful candidate will lead in establishing satellite laboratories in military training establishments and liaise with military personnel to schedule mass data collection sessions on behalf of the team.
Taking responsibility for data quality and security, the post holder will have a primary interest in human physiology, biomechanics, psychology and/or advanced statistics.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their research management and leadership skills and to engage in a comprehensive programme of knowledge translation to achieve meaningful impact.
This is a fixed-term position, with an expected duration of 48 months.
About you
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in sport and exercise science (or equivalent) and a PhD in a related discipline (e.g. human physiology, biomechanics, psychology and/or advanced statistics).
You will have an emerging track-record of high quality research outputs and ideally some experience of field-based research with large occupational groups.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential in order to plan and successfully deliver this research programme to the required standard.
Self motivated and enthusiastic, it is important that you have a commitment to working within professional and ethical codes of conduct and a focus on data security.
