We deliver excellent educational experience and world-leading research, and we are known for successfully commercialising our research through enterprise.
The University has a diverse estate, property and land portfolio spanning several campuses, including the main Highfield campus, the City Centre Campus, Avenue Campus, the Boldrewood Innovation Campus, and the Winchester School of Art. The Estates & Facilities team ensure that the University has a built and physical environment that supports the activities of a world-class University, across a portfolio of academic, state of the art research, clinical, enterprise, workspace, residential, social amenity, sport and community facilities. Ambitious plans are afoot with an estates masterplan that will see £1bn of investment in enhancing and delivering a sustainable, inclusive estate over the next decade.
The Project Manager role offers an excellent career development opportunity in a client-side project management role working on a diverse range of estates projects in the £250k to £10m value range. You will oversee projects from inception through to design, construction and mobilisation, ensuring specification, time, cost, quality and sustainability expectations are delivered on. You may also get the opportunity to support Senior Project Managers and Associate Directors in the delivery of major projects valued from £10m to £100m+.
Potential candidates will have gained formative industry experience in a project management, construction, architecture, building surveying or engineering role in the delivery of a range capital projects, and will have demonstrable knowledge of construction contract forms and the management of projects through the RIBA stages. You will have excellent communication skills, a positive and inclusive approach to stakeholder engagement and will demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering an outstanding estates environment for the University.
