UEA has some of the most innovative and highly regarded centres for research in the UK. Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Technician to assist in the research under the supervision of Prof. Mock to work in the field of molecular and cell biology of diatoms.
The aim of the project is to identify the in-vivo functions of microbial rhodopsins in diatoms. Key duties of the role include cloning, genome editing, phenotyping, sequencing and microscopy.
You will have significant expertise in the field of diatom molecular biology and cell biology. You must fulfill all essential criteria within the person specification.
This part-time (0.5FTE) post is available on a fixed term basis until 15 February 2028.
