About us
The NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health & Social Care Workforce (HSCWRU) at King’s College London is part of the Policy Institute within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. Our offices are in the Virginia Woolf Building. The Policy Institute is engaged in the translation of academic research at King’s College for the benefit of society. The HSCWRU develops research knowledge in the health and social care workforce field and to disseminate findings to policymakers, service providers, employers and patient, service user and carer groups. HSCWRU’s Director is Professor Annette Boaz, and Deputy Director is Professor Ann-Marie Towers. Professor Towers is leading the five year project - NIHR Social Care Workforce Research Partnership at King’s and seeking an experienced Project Manager to co-ordinate and manage this project.
About the role
The post holder will have the leading role in planning, co-ordinating and completing the project. They will have excellent communication and presentation skills, together with the ability to organise and motivate others. They will demonstrate flair, enthusiasm, innovation and leadership when faced with challenges and will provide strategic, tactical and operational management skills in the planning and execution of the project. They will also have comprehensive knowledge of the relevant internal systems, processes, policies, procedures, internal and external regulations, legislation and quality standards.
Previous experience in the management and co-ordination of large studies is essential.
This is a full-time post, and you will be offered a fixed-term contract until 28/02/2030.
