The School of Medicine and Dentistry has a growing Vision Sciences provision area. As the Vision Sciences provision develops and expands, there is a need for staff to assist in the leadership and delivery of the programmes.

The School wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing to support the management of the Vision Sciences educational provision, quality assurance, and assessment of credit and non-credit bearing courses in this area.

About you:

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Higher Education alongside experience of research and knowledge exchange. Registration with the General Optical Council as a dispensing optician is essential. Candidates will have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and PhD in a relevant subject. A formal teaching qualification or membership of the Higher Education Academy.
