The opportunity:
As the Project Scientific Officer, you will be a critical part of an exciting new 5-year partnership between The Roslin Institute (University of Edinburgh) and Mowi Scotland. Funded through the BBSRC Business and Academia Prosperity Partnership scheme, this project will address an array of challenges currently associated with farming salmon. You will provide high quality project management expertise, organisational and administrative support and help maintain effective communication across the project team and with external stakeholders. You will be a key member of the project management team that ensures success criteria are clearly defined and understood to ensure the project delivers within agreed budgets, milestones and standards.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and should be based primarily on campus at the Roslin Institute; however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns (on a contractual basis) and requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combine a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Informal enquiries should be addressed to project co-leads Dr. Nick Wade (nwade@ed.ac.uk) or Dr. Herve Migaud (Herve.Migaud@mowi.com)
