About the role

As Operations and Data Officer you will drive the efficient running of the International Relations Office (IRO) by overseeing office operations (meetings, diary management, ICT, HR) and database and CRM management of an extensive international network, while providing support for delivery of frequent high-level visits, events, and programmes.

The International Relations Office (IRO) is a busy, highly visible central unit responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the Imperial’s international engagement with academic partners and overseas governments. The IRO also supports the university's international hubs in Singapore, the USA, Ghana, and India

What you would be doing

This is an important administrative position where you will use your excellent data management, organisational and communication skills to support the IRO team to deliver an important part of Imperial’s strategy. As a member of a 16-person team, and part of a wider Strategic Engagement Division, the post-holder should welcome change and be prepared to work flexibly across different team activities as they will be expected to undertake a wide range of administrative and operation tasks. The postholder should be enthusiastic, willing to learn, detail-orientated, and a positive attitude to solving problems and finding efficiencies.

What we are looking for

  • An enthusiastic team member, willing to learn, detail-orientated, and with a positive attitude to solving problems and finding efficiencies.
  • Experience coordinating the essential operations of a busy office, including ICT, HR, Finance, meeting support, and diary management.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in written and numerical work.
