We are excited to invite applications for a Research Associate to join the El-Erian Institute of Behavioural Economics and Public Policy (EEI) based in central Cambridge at the Cambridge Judge Business School. EEI aims to identify new ways to address social challenges and improve lives by leveraging the combined expertise of faculty at Cambridge Judge Business School and researchers across the University of Cambridge. The Institute is led by the El-Erian Professor of Behavioural Economics and Public Policy.

This role must support and maintain the Judge Business School's and the University's national and international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. As a key member of this research team, the successful candidate will work alongside the El-Erian Professor of Behavioural Economics and Public Policy and other team members, to support both research and teaching within the institute. You will assist in conducting research, including data collection, analysis and interpretation, whilst also contributing to the development of research proposals and grant applications.

You should hold a PhD in a relevant field (behavioural economics or a related discipline in economics/psychology are desirable) and be a highly motivated, self-disciplined individual capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Strong time management and planning skills, along with a commitment to delivery, are essential. You must have research experience, a solid understanding of research methods and techniques, and a proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations (but not limited to). Additionally, you should be skilled in designing and conducting research with minimal supervision, analysing data, and interpreting results critically. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.
