Job Description
We are seeking a self-motivated and driven individual to join our Timetabling and Student Module team within the Student and Registry Services department. The successful candidate will manage the creation of academic timetables for our London campus and support timetable maintenance for our Bath campuses. You will also lead the annual creation of the Welcome Week timetable across all campuses.
About the role
In this role, you will support the Senior Timetabling Officer and the Timetabling and Module Selection Manager by helping to create and distribute requirement gathering forms to Course Leaders and senior academics, and by conducting meetings to collect and understand their timetable needs. You will become proficient in the Syllabus Plus system to create accurate, clash-free timetables for the London campus and Welcome Week, while assisting with timetabling at other campuses.
Key responsibilities will include collaborating with senior academics, analysing data, and using negotiation and problem-solving skills to create balanced timetables in Syllabus Plus. You will also oversee our room booking service, improve Resource Booker software, and ensure excellent customer service for students and staff.
About you
The successful candidate will have fantastic administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail. Communication skills and a customer service mindset are also important, and you will have prior experience providing excellent customer service.
Ideally, you will also have experience of database packages, record keeping, and knowledge/experience of the Higher Education sector.
