As Research and Enterprise Support Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for a designated faculty for all research and enterprise (R&E) queries and support requirements. You will need to establish positive working relationships with faculty staff, ensuring visibility and presence within the faculty, as well as developing an excellent knowledge of faculty expertise and assets.
You will work closely with the Associate Dean Research and Knowledge Exchange to plan, deliver and evaluate R&E activities.
You will support across the project lifecycle, calling on expertise in RED and other professional services to support faculty activity. You will support the faculty with pre and post award processes, providing hands-on practical support and ensuring applications and projects progress through the appropriate approvals, advising the PI and escalating risks as appropriate. You will engage proactively with the university’s Worktribe system, liaising with project leads, faculty and finance staff supporting staff to ensure records are as accurate and complete as possible to produce comprehensive bidding, award and project data.
We are looking for someone with a high level of emotional intelligence who has the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels across the University to ensure quality service delivery, demonstrating political awareness, diplomacy and tact. You will need a proven track record of reviewing successful applications to R&E funders, including budgets; excellent written English and proven ability to proofread alongside an excellent understanding of priorities, rules and guidance of key R&E funders. You will need the ability to work in a challenging environment, adapting to changing priorities and timescales and meet deadlines, demonstrating enthusiasm and evidence of a proactive approach to continuous service improvement and opportunity generation.
