Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing

About the role:

The School of Medicine and Dentistry has a growing Vision Sciences provision area. As the Vision Sciences provision develops and expands, there is a need for staff to assist in the leadership and delivery of the programmes. 

The School wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing to support the development of the Vision Sciences educational provision, quality assurance, and assessment of credit and non-credit bearing courses in this area. 

About you:

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Higher Education alongside experience of research and knowledge exchange. Registration with the General Optical Council as an optometrist is essential as well as an undergraduate degree in Optometry and a PhD or willingness to undertake upon commencement.
