About the role:

The School wishes to appoint a Principal Lecturer in Clinical Skills to working within a committed and enthusiastic team, focusing on the Medical Skills and Quality Care (MSQC) theme across Year 1 and 2 of MBBS and MPAS programmes.

The post holder will have specific responsibility for overseeing the planning, delivery, teaching, assessment, and quality assurance across Years 1 and 2 the MSQC theme, working to ensure currency and alignment with professional body requirements. You will work closely with course team staff to ensure excellent integration across different themes and years of both courses.

About you:

The successful candidate will have a strong record of academic leadership in clinical skills teaching and assessment, including module or course leadership. You will hold a higher degree in a health-related subject or be willing to undertake one as well as a teaching qualification or membership of the HEA.
