The School of Computer Science and Mathematics within the Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science seeks to appoint at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching Fellow) level in the field of Computer Games Development.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates with demonstrable experience in software engineering for games and interests in Testing/Profiling in Game Engines / C++ (e.g. Unreal Insights), Physics, AI, Ludology, Animation, Procedural Content Generation, or Deferred Rendering.
The role will require delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the School and the specific development of the area of software engineering to ensure our curriculum is up-to-date and meeting the needs of employers and applicants. You will also be expected to make broad contributions to the academic work of the School of Computer Science and Mathematics in the fields of computing and computer science. In addition, you may contribute to the development and delivery of outreach and engagement initiatives as well as interdisciplinary project areas. You are likely to have a background in software development and/or computer science with a PhD in a related subject and/or relevant professional experience from industry.
