The Department of Architecture is pleased to invite applications for the role of Undergraduate Course Administrator, working across the Architecture and Design Triposes.

The role reports to the Faculty Programmes Coordinator (Undergraduates) and is available on a permanent, part-time (22 hours per week) basis, with a minimum of four working days per week covering the core working hours. It is expected that the role-holder will work in the office during Term Time, but there may be more flexibility outside these periods.

Day-to-day the role may include:

  • Answering student & staff queries
  • Uploading course material or setting up assessments on the VLE (Moodle)
  • Liaise with examiners/assessors to ensure student work is marked and data is retained and processed
  • Creating and circulating a student survey
  • Data input related to accreditation
  • Working with others across the Faculty to improve administrative processes

The role would suit a pro-active candidate with administrative experience, ideally in the Higher Education sector, although training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a good eye for detail and will be equally happy working alone or as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use and learn IT systems are essential. 

Working within a friendly cross-Faculty Professional Services team, the role offers the opportunity to shape processes and share ideas as the Department of Architecture expands further with subsequent years of the Design Tripos.
