About the role:
In the Research Office's Systems and Information Team, we are responsible for assisting and advising colleagues in matters relating to the College’s pre-award, post-award, research contracts and research facility management IT systems. You will act as the first point of contact, with a considerable amount of interaction with staff at all levels, combining a professional approach with a friendly and welcoming manner.
What you would be doing:
You will provide administrative support to the Research Office in several areas, primarily in relation to the College’s pre-award, post-award, contracts and research facility management systems (Worktribe, Oracle Grants, Research Contracts Management Systems (RCMS) and PPMS) and electronic application systems used by external research funders. Your main responsibility will be to assist with system administration as well as managing general queries from multiple mailboxes to provide 1st line support to system users.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking candidates with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as experience of dealing with a wide variety of people. Dedication to the provision of excellent customer service is crucial.
IT literacy with an ability to learn new software applications quickly as well as excellent organisational skills are vital.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use your own initiative and be proactive as appropriate within the duties of the post are also critical.
You will take a methodical approach to your work, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, you will be adaptable, adjusting to new challenges, shifting priorities, and different environments while maintaining efficiency and effectiveness.
Knowledge of research administration in Higher Education or a similar environment would be desirable.

This is a fixed term contract, for 18 months. If appointed, you will be joining our office currently based in the South Kensington Campus, working on a hybrid basis. We will be moving to our White City Campus this year and want candidates to ensure they can commit to the travel to this new location too.
