The Department of Chemistry are seeking an Executive Officer to join our busy, vibrant, community.
This exciting and varied role will primarily support the Head of Department and Senior Leadership Team across a broad range of secretarial and administrative responsibilities.
This role will also provide an opportunity to lead and contribute towards important strategic projects enabling collaboration with colleagues within the department and across the wider University.
This is a great opportunity for an individual wishing to extend and further develop their skills in an academic environment, whilst learning about a growing strategically important department at the University of Warwick.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic, pro-active professional with experience in the key areas of responsibility.
Your interpersonal and communication skills should be exceptional, enabling you to effortlessly establish strong working relationships with both academic and administrative colleagues. Additionally, your organisation skills should be strong, allowing you to effectively multitask and prioritise conflicting demands. Maintaining confidentiality should be of utmost importance to you, as you will be entrusted with managing restricted information and sensitive matters.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment, and demonstrate resilience under pressure in order to meet the requirements of the Head of Department and Senior Leadership Team.
Your educational background should meet 'A' level standard or the equivalent, accompanied by demonstrable relevant experience and excellent IT skills.
You will be expected to work across a minimum of 4 days.
